Bio

Olusola Olaniyi is a Regional/Exploration Geologist and Researcher. She is the CEO, Berillos Proconsultants. Former Deputy Director Regional Geology, Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), Federal Ministry of Mine and Steel Development. She has worked and excelled in the mining industry (a profession that is a male dominated work space) for over 3 decades in senior/upper management positions. She also worked with Niger River Basin Development Authority and UNICEF. She has two Master's degrees, Geographic Information System (MGIS) from University of Lagos, Lagos and Business Administration (MBA) from Federal University of Technology, Akure with B.Sc. Geology from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, Certificates in Gender and mining governance and IGF Guidance for Governments: Local content policies. She was involved in geological data collection, production of maps and geological reports for NGSA's Publications and Bulletins. She is an advocate of gender equality and eradication of Gender Based Violence in the mining industry. Member, Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Certified Member, Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers & Geoscientists (COMEG) & Member Women In Mining Nigeria.
