Terah De Jong
Bio
Terah is an ASM specialist who has led several projects for USAID and the European Union, including the Property Rights and Artisanal Diamond Development (PRADD) project in the Central African Republic and Côte d'Ivoire. He is currently a part-time technical advisor on the USAID Artisanal Mining and Property Rights (AMPR) project which focuses on CAR but also has a global learning component on ASM. He also consults part-time for various clients with a focus on West Africa, where he is based. His interests include collaborative co-management between communities and governments around ASM, leveraging ASM revenue for local and national development, supply chain analysis and traceability, links between ASM and other rural livelihoods, conflict dynamics around ASM, transnational organized crime and ASM supply chains, and environmental issues and good practices during and post-mining.Resource Library Contributions
