Bio

With a background in Economics and International Relations, he has over 10 years’ experience with sustainability standards systems and Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM) sector, supporting ASM entrepreneurs in improving their social, environmental and productive performance. In ARM he contributed to the organization´s tenfold growth, flexibly performing in several senior management and leadership roles. Long-term professional experience in the UK and Colombia, with short-term assignments in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, Honduras, Nicaragua, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Senegal. He coordinated and oversaw projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, UNIDO, Ford Foundation, EPRM, Chopard, Microsoft among others. Marcin participated as a speaker in various industry conferences, such as the OECD Responsible Supply Chains, Responsible Minerals Initiative, World Mining Congress, Responsible Jewelry Council, Flux Fair Luxury or Mining and Communities Solutions at UBC. He also represented the organization in working groups promoting formalization in Colombia, e.g. Public Policy Council of the Ministry of Mines or the EITI multi-stakeholder group and the Dialogue Group on Mining.
