Bio

Emily Anwuli Achor-Offodile has actively worked in the mining sector since 2010. She worked in the data collecting of the National Action plan on the elimination of the use of mercury in Nigeria (ASGM UNIDO-MMSD project). Also worked on the World Bank assisted project on selected communities on Social impact of Gully erosion and NEEDs implementation in Plateau and Kogi State (client; MECON Geology and Engineering Service) She developed a framework on community development for a Lead-Zinc and Gold mining project. Achor has worked with a committee on the development of the strategic framework and baseline studies for women in mining communities in Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Due to her proficiency in the (3) major language, Emily has provided services as an interpreter for mining companies and helps with interface with local ASM workers and Nigerian government regulatory agencies
